See where your marks went

Write your working on paper or a tablet. Paper Zero marks each line the way an examiner does, and shows you the line where a mark was lost.

A handwritten page as Paper Zero marks it: ticks at the two lines that earned a mark, a cross on line 3 where +7 was copied as −7, and a short note beside that line.123456f′(x) = 4x − 124x − 12 = 0, so x = 3f(3) = 2(3)² − 12(3) − 7= 18 − 36 − 7 = −25minimum at (3, −25)M1 ✓A1 ✓A1 ✗11The +7 became −7: 18 − 36 + 7 = −11.

How it works

  1. 1. Pick a question

Choose a topic, or take the plan for today: it follows what you have done and what your class has covered.

  2. 2. Write your working

On paper, then take a photo. On a tablet, with a pen. Or type the answer.

  3. 3. See where the marks went

Each line gets its marks, M and A, the way an examiner gives them. Where a mark is lost, a note on that line says why.

For parents and teachers

Parents

A short note every week on what your child practised. Your child adds your email and you confirm it. If they ask for Pro, you can pay from the link they send, without an account.

Teachers

A free class code shows who practised this week and what the class finds hardest. Students' pages stay private unless a student chooses to share them. Your coverage and test dates shape every student's plan.

Questions

Is Paper Zero from the IB?

No. Paper Zero is independent and not endorsed by the IB. Its questions are written for Paper Zero, in the style of the exam.

Which course does it cover?

IB Maths: Analysis and approaches SL, for now.

Do I need a tablet?

No. Write on paper and take a photo with your phone, or type your answers. A tablet with a pen lets you write straight on the screen.

Can the marking be wrong?

Sometimes, yes. Every mark comes with its reason on your line, so you can check it. If a mark looks wrong, tap Message a person on the page and we look at it.

How does Pro stop?

Billing stops by itself after the exam session you set, and you can cancel in one click before that.

What happens to my pages?

We keep them to mark them and show them back to you, until you ask us to delete them. The privacy notice says what we keep, who helps us and your rights.
